Spring is coming... Check out all the ways you can Have fun! Here at TSNY Beantown
We offer WAY more than just Flying Trapeze!
Silks
Aerial Silks, Tissue or Fabric are two long pieces of soft fabric that hang from a single point. Using strength, grace and flexibility, you climb the apparatus and move your body into amazing and beautiful poses and shapes. Drops and slides are an exciting and fun part of learning this apparatus. click here to learn more or to sign up for a class.
Static Trapeze
The Static Trapeze is an aerial apparatus consisting of a bar hung from ropes. Unlike the flying trapeze, this one generally stays in place. On the trapeze you will learn to use the bar and ropes to pose, invert, balance and drop into thrilling positions. After growing comfortable with solo work, you can learn to work in pairs and teams to build shapes in the air, turning them inside out and upside down in poses that highlight both strength and flexibility. Acro Yoga
Students will learn how to balance, work together and gain strength while having fun! Class will begin with basic stretches and conditioning to prepare the body to work to it's maximum potential. No partner is necessary. Click here to sign up for a class!
Conditioning classes
Our Aerial Conditioning Class incorporates silks, static trapeze, fitness balls, and floor exercises. It is a full body workout using all four apparatuses in a circuit training format (going from station to station). The class has been created to help aspiring and professional flyers and aerialists condition for their craft. It makes exercise fun and new by letting you hang from a trapeze and invert on the silks. (the information page is located at our New York site so make sure you don't sign up for a class there or you'll have a LONG drive!)
Trampoline
We have an above-ground trampoline with a rebounding bed that can allow students to learn the fundamentals of body awareness and train for somersaults and twisting skills. Techniques learned on trampoline are directly applicable to ANY aerial or gymnastic pursuit, whether it is simply strengthening core muscles or developing the timing and spotting skills necessary to catch your double on the flying trapeze.
