Activity-specific conditioning helps boost performance level in any type of physical activity or sport, whether for serious players and practitioners, or those in it for pure enjoyment. Its benefits range from increased strength and stamina, as well as increased flexibility, coordination, and very importantly, injury prevention.
Any activity, done repetitively, takes its toll on the body in time. It is important to condition the body to handle these stresses by strengthening weaker muscles, keeping the body in balance, and learning awareness of one's body - knowing which muscles need to work while relaxing others in movement.
About the Class
Aerial Conditioning at TSNY Beantown is focused on creating strong and supple flyers who can soar through the air with ease. Time is spent on warming up the core temperature of the body, joint preparation and flexibility, and strengthening both stabilizer muscles and mover muscles, all of which will enhance your practice as an aerialist. Each class is tailored to the particular group of students in attendance, and exercises are modified to suit their skill level. It will provide a full body workout and will use bodyweight, resistance bands, the static trapeze, and rope or silks to build confidence level through movement work that is transferable to a variety of aerial arts classes.
